Hackers have once exposed the vulnerability of India’s premier investigating and security agencies by launching repeated cyber attacks on their websites maintained by the National Informatics Centre.

The hackers first attacked the CBI’s website in December last year followed by the breaking into the official website of the elite National Security Guards two days back. And on now the NIA website has registered a major security breach.

Cyber security expert and Director at Torrid Networks Dhruv Soi said, “A host of NIC servers stand compromised as the Pakistani hackers have been successful in inserting ‘web shells’, files that can be used for hacking from any location. There is a need for a complete overhaul of the network infrastructure, including sanitization of the server and the peripherals.”
