Torrid Networks Announces Strategic Spin-off to Form ZoNIX Systems for Offering Specialized Managed IT Services
Torrid’s focus on information security services lead to formation of a separate entity, ZoNIX Systems, for catering to managed IT services
NOIDA, NCR, India - January 21, 2009 – Torrid Networks, a leading information security and managed IT services company, launched a separate entity to render managed IT services and IT infrastructure solutions to its customers. Since its establishment in 2006, Torrid Networks has been serving more than 30 clients with its expert information security and managed IT services and has also developed open source based IT infrastructure solutions deployed with over 50 clients globally. With rising demand and altogether different target customers for both the information security and managed IT services, company announced this week that they will render their two niche services under different entities. Torrid Networks will now offer information security services with expanded service portfolio to target larger customer base, whereas managed IT services and IT infrastructure solutions would be catered by the spin-off company, ZoNIX Systems.
It was a full day training program with lots of code snippets in the training slides followed by a code review exercise against a vulnerable application. Attendees liked the training session and feedback has been excellent.

Last year, Dhruv Soi, Chair - OWASP India, organized the application security centric OWASP conference at a slightly smaller scale. This year, he wanted to cover more than just Web application security, so he ideated Securitybyte and brought a more diverse range of security subject and issues. He also plans to make this a yearly event, since the interest for this kind of topics is great.
