February 26, 2010: Torrid Networks Trained 25 professionals from Govt. and PSUs at CERT-IN

Torrid Networks trained 25 professionals from Govt. organizations and PSUs at CERT-IN on "Security Architecture for System Administrators". Training included methodologies to design secure IT infrastructure, create IT policies, hardening Windows and Linux servers and desktops, hardening network devices, change management and physical control. Session was very helpful for all the participants which was mix of System/Network administrators, Managers and Senior IT Management. Feedback for the training session has been very positive and with this training session, Torrid Networks becomes the top company to conduct maximum number of training courses at CERT-IN in last one year.

Torrid Networks Announces Strategic Spin-off to Form ZoNIX Systems for Offering Specialized Managed IT Services

Torrid’s focus on information security services lead to formation of a separate entity, ZoNIX Systems, for catering to managed IT services

NOIDA, NCR, India - January 21, 2009 – Torrid Networks, a leading information security and managed IT services company, launched a separate entity to render managed IT services and IT infrastructure solutions to its customers. Since its establishment in 2006, Torrid Networks has been serving more than 30 clients with its expert information security and managed IT services and has also developed open source based IT infrastructure solutions deployed with over 50 clients globally. With rising demand and altogether different target customers for both the information security and managed IT services, company announced this week that they will render their two niche services under different entities. Torrid Networks will now offer information security services with expanded service portfolio to target larger customer base, whereas managed IT services and IT infrastructure solutions would be catered by the spin-off company, ZoNIX Systems.

December 10-11, 2009: Torrid Networks trained a Bangalore based product company on secure application development

Events

Torrid Networks trained entire staff of a Bangalore based product company having several security products. It was one day session with total 40 participants in each session. Working for security product company, participants were already aware of basic security concents which made the training program highly interactive. Training was very well received by the entire team which was later applauded by the company's management.
   

December 8, 2009: Torrid Networks trained 35 professionals from Govt. organizations and PSUs on Security Code Review of PHP Applications, organized by CERT-IN and DSCI

Events

CERT-IN and Data Security Council of India (DSCI) organized a training session about "Security Code Review of PHP Applications" on 8th December 2009. CERT-IN keeps organizing such trainings for Govt. organizations and PSUs under cyber security program funded by Govt. of India. This hands on training was attended by 35 professionals from different organizations like Airport Authority of India, Engineers India Limited, Syndicate Bank, IDBI Bank, Integrated Defence Staff (Ministry of Defence), etc.

It was a full day training program with lots of code snippets in the training slides followed by a code review exercise against a vulnerable application. Attendees liked the training session and feedback has been excellent.
   

December 7, 2009: Torrid Networks trained 35 professionals from Govt. organizations and PSUs on Writing Secure PHP Applications, organized by CERT-IN and DSCI

Events

CERT-IN and Data Security Council of India (DSCI) organized a training session about "Writing Secure PHP Applications" on 7th December 2009. CERT-IN keeps organizing such trainings for Govt. organizations and PSUs as a cyber security program funded by Govt. of India. This hands on training was attended by 35 professionals from different organizations like Airport Authority of India, Engineers India Limited, Syndicate Bank, IDBI Bank, Integrated Defence Staff (Ministry of Defence), etc.

It was a full day training program with lots of live demonstrations. Attendees liked the training session and feedback has been excellent.

November 17, 2009: Launch of India's largest InfoSec event in New Delhi

Organized by Torrid Networks' founder, Dhruv Soi, Securitybyte & OWASP AppSec Asia Conference 2009, India's largest security conference, opened its doors today at the magnificent Hotel Crowne Plaza in Gurgaon, National Capital Region, India. Gurgaon is one of the most prominent outsourcing and offshoring hubs in the world and houses regional headquarters of many multinational companies. It has also been proclaimed the best city in India to live and work according to a recent survey by Business Today magazine.

Last year, Dhruv Soi, Chair - OWASP India, organized the application security centric OWASP conference at a slightly smaller scale. This year, he wanted to cover more than just Web application security, so he ideated Securitybyte and brought a more diverse range of security subject and issues. He also plans to make this a yearly event, since the interest for this kind of topics is great.

November 12, 2009: World's renowned cyber security experts, CXOs, ethical hackers to participate in four day conference & training
